Brown (Habana 7)

It’s an unfortunate alphabetical fact that so soon after dazzling your eyes with the blue imagery of my previous post I’m following up with another colour; brown.

It’s not so visually exciting maybe, but it’s omnipresent in the skin colour of the Cubans, their coffee, their rum (it isn’t all white, but even when it is, a dash of coke makes a Cuba Libre) and their street food.

None of those feature in these images (but will arrive later I’m sure) which unsurprisingly feature a lot of wood.  What is surprising is that the wooden blocks are not repairs to a parquet floor, but to the pavement along one side of the Plaza des Armas.
