I mentioned in an earlier post the image of an assassin (Adolf Gettler) strolling between the market stalls of Rialto where he is glimpsed briefly before enigmatically disappearing until he makes his critical move later. As is so often the case with a Bond villain there is some physical abnormality that marks him out immediately, in this case one lens of his spectacles is darkened, presumably indicating a lost eye. He didn’t really need the hat to garner attention.
Now this guy has fully dark glasses, and a luxurious beard, but I think he could pull off the role of villain all the same. Perhaps if he had a cane in his right hand? What do you think?
