I wonder how great an impact the wheeled case had on the turnover of the average Venetian porter?  With no motorised transport over much of the city, as soon as you disembark from your vessel of choice, you have your luggage to heave, drag and hump over bridges, through crowds, and along alleys.  A real nuisance once, but now… easy peasy.

I was impressed by the way these two managed to mirror one another and almost keep the bags in formation.  Former lives as air stewardesses?
