In my day job I’ve been doing some work with two business involved in distribution; one whose brand management is a key strength of their business, and one who perhaps have some work still to do in that respect.  The appearance of their employees leaves a lot to be desired.

In one of the workshops we looked at competitors and it was agreed that with their bright red and yellow, DHL‘s vehicles are really eye-catching, though this was the first time I’d seen them on a boat.  Not sure about the bare-chested approach, but then there are probably a lot of customers who would see it as adding value to the brand if their deliveries were made by topless Italians!
